When you visit Big Lake Trees for your Christmas tree you can explore the scenic forest, use our picnic area for lunch, and make your own happy Christmas memories. Our 70 acre forest has 15,000 Christmas trees in three fields. The middle field offers sweeping views of our farm and Big Lake.
Family run since it was founded in 1974, we have provided Christmas trees for three generations of families from Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, greater Skagit Valley, and beyond. We look forward to helping you find your Christmas tree, too.
The choose and cut Christmas tree process is fun for the whole family. When you arrive at our farm, you can explore one or more of our three fields (lower, middle, and upper). Pick up one of our handsaws and head out to find your favorite tree.
Once you find it, use the handsaw to cut close to the ground, making the cut as flat as possible. You'll want a long enough trunk so it fits easily into the stand and makes room for presents underneath. Then bring your tree to the shed for measurement and your receipt.
If you're feeling chilled, we provide complimentary hot beverages and candy canes. We also have a warming fire on the middle level with sheltered picnic tables.
