About Us:

Capitol Cider was created and built in the style of a public house. We envisioned a warm and welcoming place for people to gather, share, savor and commune. The dark panelling, master copy collection of famous paintings, old books and period architectural elements hearken back to another time — when the distance between The Old World and The New World was measured by the time it took for a ship to sail between the two.

We also founded Capitol Cider with a commitment to offer an extensive and thoughtfully curated list of beverages for you to learn about and explore.  Our highly trained staff are here to help you navigate and learn about the world of cider and apple spirits; our cider flight program provides an easy introduction to our extensive bottle list, and the many varieties of cider therein.

We invite you to visit — come soak up the art while sipping cider and eating steak frites, or head downstairs for live music, an art talk, or board games. We have cozy nooks if you’re looking for a place for date night; and our large booths and communal tables are designed with a gang of friends and family in mind. Everyone is welcome at Capitol Cider.  The Ballast Bar is 21+ only.  Both floors are ADA accessible.
