Our story begins as so many do, with bad news. The doctor said "you have diabetes", and the stress of my last couple of years finally bore its fruit in my health. The story is complex, but the short version goes like this. Patty and I enjoyed a glass of wine from time to time, and I discovered my blood sugar was better regulated with a glass of red wine than without. This daily "medication" soon led to the discovery that some wines are better than others. In short, we became "wine snobs". Soon I started exploring winemaking, and now a little hobby has taken on a life of its own. We find it quite like God to take something that seemed like bad news, and turn it to good.
