Morrill Meadows Off-Leash Dog Park

Morrill Meadows Off-Leash Dog Park
10808 SE 248th Street

Kent's first off-leash dog park was built through a collaboration between the City of Kent and a community group of volunteers called Dogpark: Dog Owners' Group Promoting Animal Recreation in Kent. The group raised funds to help off-set the cost of fencing and began work parties to clear the area of invasive and overgrown vegetation in February 2010. Throughout the summer and fall, other volunteer groups also helped, and the park was opened following Kent Parks' annual Make A Difference Day event, October 23, 2010, when volunteers planted 500 native trees and shrubs along the fence lines and inside the sensitive wetland area.

Similar to Grandview Off-leash Area on the west hill, maintenance and future amenities will be accomplished through the combined efforts of City staff and Dogpark.

Amenities include: parking at either park, separately fenced area for small or shy dogs
