History:
Gene and Kathy Pasek started Pasek Cellars in 1995. They opened a tasting room on First Street in Mount Vernon in 1997. The winery was in a small area behind the store. From the start they had a tiger by the tail. Gene's fruit wines had incredible popularity. The winery's production grew steadily, but still at a rate where demand often outstripped their ability to produce.

In 2002 the winery was moved from the First Street location to a larger facility on Old Highway 99 South, just south of downtown Mount Vernon. At the same time the Tasting Room took up residence in Conway in the Skagit "Red Barn" next to the Conway Chevron, just west of I-5 at exit 221.  We are open every day from 11- 5.

In 2003 the Paseks took on a partner, David James. Dave had been selling the Pasek wines as part of a portfolio of Washington wines. That year the winery invested in new equipment; tanks and a press, and built production to a level of about 5,000 cases.

In 2004, Pasek Cellars increased production to about 7,500 cases. About 4,000 of this was Cranberry Wine, the winery's best seller. Near the end of the year, Pasek Cellars introduced  tropical fruit wines which now includes Pineapple and Passion Fruit. In August a partnership was formed with Willow Crest Winery of Prosser, WA. The two wineries opened a tasting room in Leavenworth, WA, at 939 Front Street. The tasting room features Pasek fruit wines and Willow Crest's dry red and white wines.

Early in 2006, the winery introduced Passion Fruit Wine to their tropical fruit wine line. By the end of the year total wine production at the winery neared 15,000 cases. Distribution was extended in 2006 to the state of Oregon, through Odom Corporation.  Odom or companies that are part of the Odom network now cover most of Washington state for Pasek Cellars. Please ask for the wines at your favorite store, if you don't see them on the shelf.

As of 2011 the wines are also available at stores in Alaska, Oregon and parts of Illinois and Idaho.  Our wine can be special ordered at Pennsylvania State Liquor stores.  It is also available on a limited basis in Wyoming, where it can be special ordered at retailers if you don't see it.  Shipping is a complicated issue.  Currently we ship to Washington State, Washington DC, Idaho, Kansas, Oregon, Hawaii (expensive), Alaska, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, Iowa and California. If your state doesn't appear in the shipping drop down menu, I'm sorry but we don't ship there. In the fall of 2011, Cost Plus World Market held a special promotion of Cranberry wine which introduced only this product to stores in North Carolina, Florida, New Mexico, Texas and California.
