Evergreen City Ballet at a glance:

The Evergreen City Ballet was founded in 1994 and received its non-profit 501(c)3 status in 1995. It was established in downtown Auburn, Washington as both a ballet academy providing professional quality training and as a performing company. In January 2006 ECB relocated to a spacious facility in the heart of downtown Renton.

The Academy:

The Evergreen City Ballet Academy offers pre-performance ballet classes for aspiring professionals along with open classes in a variety of dance forms for all ages and abilities. Classes include ballet technique, pointe, variations, jazz, modern, improvisation, composition and Pilates in addition to seminars on nutrition, costuming and production and dance history.

During the summer many of our Academy students are accepted into dance intensives offered by major ballet companies around the world. The Evergreen City Ballet offers a summer program of its own, welcoming dancers from the region to spend three to six weeks in a variety of classes taught by our artistic staff and guest faculty from major companies. Classes include ballet technique, pointe, partnering, men, variations, jazz, modern, improvisation, composition and Pilate, in addition to seminars on nutrition, costuming and production and dance history.

Our reputation as one of the Northwest's most successful dance institutions has brought us national recognition for years.  Many of our dancers have gone on to professional careers with renowned ballet companies around the world including San Francisco Ballet Pacific Northwest Ballet and Oregon Ballet Theatre.
