History:

The farm began in the 1880's when Issac W. Woods homesteaded in Mason County.  He was followed to the area by his daughter and husband, William A and Olivia Woods Hunter.  They pioneered in the Skokomish River Valley raising cattle and crops.  In 1894 their son Paul was born, and in 1898 son Harold, who both followed their parents' footsteps by the 1920's.

They increased the farm and began a dairy farm and delivered milk to the logging camps, Lake Cushman Dam construction crews in the 1920's and later door to door in Bremerton. In 1948 Paul's two sons, Bill and Jim started purchasing land suitable for growing Christmas trees. They continued to work on the farm, assuming the operation of the farm in 1962. The dairy farm operated until 1973.  By 1977 Bill and Jim each had grown sons and decided to divided their holding and go into business with their sons.
